Titan America Introduces Optima™ Self-Consolidating Concrete

Norfolk, VA – January 3, 2003 – Titan America today announced the introduction of their newest concrete product, Optima™ self-consolidating concrete. Targeted specifically for use in walls, columns and footers, Titan America’s Optima provides a superior solution for contractors seeking to save money on equipment and labor costs. Because of Optima’s increased mobility and quicker placement, contractors can boost both productivity and profitability.

Titan America recently hosted several demonstrations of Optima in use compared to traditional concrete. Compared to the traditional ready-mix placement time of 17 minutes, Optima placed in an amazing two minutes. Participants at the demonstrations also witnessed Optima’s smooth movement off the truck and through reinforced forms with no need for shoveling, or internal or external vibration; Optima totally encapsulated rebar reinforcements and flowed around corners with ease. Additionally, Optima placed smoother and left fewer lumps and spills, leaving minimal post-placement finishing and most importantly, little waste.
