TOUR OF FLORIDA'S LARGEST CEMENT PLANT HIGHLIGHTS MEETING
Medley, Fla. -- Titan America will host the monthly meeting of the South Florida Association of General Contractors (SFAGC) at its Pennsuco plant on Thursday, November 9 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cement plant—globally, one of the most modern of its kind—originally opened in June of 2004.
For the SFAGC's November meeting, Chapter President Len Mills and members and guests of the SFAGC are invited to tour the Pennsuco plant, which produces nearly 2.4 million tons of cement each year and is among the cleanest and the most environmentally sensitive in all of Florida. Pennsuco, operated by Titan Florida, is located at 11000 NW 121st Way in Medley.
The South Florida Chapter of the AGC was established in 1918 after a request by then-president Woodrow Wilson to promote the construction industry's national importance in planning for the advancement of the nation. Today, the SFAGC is considered one of the most prestigious contractor associations in the region.
