The Mid-Atlantic Business Unit has an opening for a Human Resources Manager supporting the Titan Virginia Ready Mix business. This salary exempt position is primarily responsible for providing professional HR generalist support to TVRM management and employees to support the Business Unit in achieving its objectives. Areas of support will include but not be limited to employee development, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, policy administration, organizational design and development, training, performance management, employee relations and labor relations. The successful candidate will also provide support to the Corporate Center in Norfolk, VA on an as needed basis. Corporate Center support may include training and development, recruitment and selection, and policy administration. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, energetic, and possess a diverse HR generalist background with a proven continuous improvement track record. The position will be based in Richmond, VA.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide HR support in the areas of employee development, recruitment, compensation/benefits, organizational development, performance management, employee relations, and labor relations • Monitor operational policies and procedures for hiring; discipline and termination; exit interviews; measuring performance and determining appropriate compensation • Ensure regulatory compliance for area of responsibility including responsibility administering the Affirmative Action Plan • Advise staff on employee development, policy administration, organizational development and employee performance issues • Develop and deliver training designed to meet organizational objectives • Assist with skill assessment, performance review and development plans • Collect data and prepare reports to respond to external compliance inquiries including organizations such as the EEOC, OFCCP, and NLRB • Design and implement programs designed to improve key areas of the Employee Opinion Survey and employee morale • Work with TVRM line leadership and employees to maintain union-free status where applicable • Work with TVRM line leadership to manage strong relationships with Unions where applicable. Lead labor negotiations and activities as needed. • Prepare and submit regulatory reports including state unemployment compensation, etc. • Position will report to the Human Resources Director for Mid-Atlantic, ST, and Essex Cement
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development or related field required with a Master’s degree preferred; Minimum 3 years of related experience required with Bachelor’s degree • Demonstrated knowledge of HR concepts, practices & procedures • Extensive knowledge and understanding of all applicable federal, state and local laws governing human resources • SPHR or PHR preferred • Past labor relations experience preferred • Personal computer proficiency in all commonly used software packages • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills • Self-starter with high energy and proven record of instituting continuous improvement • Strong negotiation and reasoning skills • Frequent overnight travel required

This salary exempt position will report directly to the BU Safety Manager. The primary function of this position is to ensure compliance of all safety affairs as regulated through the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals & Energy (DMME), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities: •Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, including employee (task) training and monitoring occupational exposure limitations. •Monitor safety progress against goals and implement programs as directed •Follow appropriate reporting procedures •Direct and or/conduct prompt investigations of safety related incidents including root-cause analysis with a focus toward prevention. Job Requirements:
