April 18, 2013 - Norfolk, Va. –Officials at Titan America are pleased to announce that David Brinkley, Titan’s Director of Customer Resourcesand Distribution, was recently appointed as Chairman of the Portland Cement Association’s Logistics Task Force for the 2013 term. Brinkley, a six-year Titan employee, has served on the Task Force for four years.
As Group Chairman, Brinkley’s responsibilities will involve addressing the mutual concerns of the cement industry at a national level, specifically terminal safety and transportation. The group also examines and recognizes safety best practices and issues pertaining to marine,rail and truck transportation.
The logistic group’s immediate focuses include:
- TerminalSafety Awards Program
- Captive Rail Shipper Legislation/Cement STB Exemption Effort
- Truck Weight Reform
- Water Resources Development Act Reauthorization & Mississippi River Navigation
