Titan Announces Environmental Award Winner
March 4, 2015 - Deerfield Beach, FL. - Titan America officials are pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s Titan Environmental Award is Daniel Rub, a tenth grader from Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High, Biscayne Bay Campus.
Daniel’s project, featured last month at the 61st South Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair, focused on the safe reuse of gray water. Christine Lyons, Titan America Environmental Engineer, served on the judging panel of the Fair.
“Daniel’s project incorporated all the qualities we look for in a winning entry,” stated Lyons. “The purpose was clearly and simply stated, it was well-researched, scholarly, conducted with integrity and included a meaningful summary.”
The Titan Environmental Award was presented by Ms. Lyons and Audrey Becnel, also a Titan America Environmental Engineer. The award included a certificate, a check for $200, a teamTitan™ hardhat and an invitation for Daniel and his science class to tour the Pennsuco facility.
